Kari-I assume you are younger and on a ';fixed budget'; and are hoping for something over the counter or generally inexpensive. I never found that cheap cure. I had something called Restilun injected at a doctor's office and all my craters/pitted scars disappeared. It was the only thing that worked. It lasts 6 months but cost $500 in NYC.
For still red scars as well as active acne, IPL (also known as intense pulse laser or photofacial) will clear up the bacteria of the current acne as well as eliminate redness. I saw this before and after picture and think it was really close to what I experienced. I never found a good picture for Restilun. IPL is about $200 a procedure in NYC.

Try a good scrub and/or peel. I love Neutrogena products. Neutrogena actually has a product specifically for acne scars.
I don't think so. But my mom is a Cosmotolgist, and she said that you can go to a dermatologist, and they can get rid of them.
you could try a product called Pure Empreinte Masque from LANCOME paris... its french so its expensive but it truly works for scars and blemishes its worth it plus if your really desperate just give it a try. u can find it at Macy's ,the Mall (not sold at drug stores)
Try chemical peelings with AHAs. They will exfoliate the dead cells and increse cell renewal, so your scars will go faster.
