My skin is extremely sensitive to scarring, and i've had major breakouts on my shoulders and back for about 2 whole years, that are not going away but instead are chosing to remain permanently present. I have tons of scars, and i'm really scared they'll never go away or I'll get more and i'll be speckled forever. How can i stop them from scarring or reduce the scars i already have ? heeelpAcne Scars.?
go to a professional skin care facility or a dermatologist and they can give you a perscription to creams and maybe pills. I took Nicomide which is actually a perscription vitamin and it helped deminish scars.Acne Scars.?
First off if you are popping your pimples stop. It only causes more scarring. The best thing you can do is to go to the doctor and get acne medication if you aren't on some already. You don't always have to take medication, the doctor might give you a topical cream. They work really well, and using a good clenser too helps. I'm not sure how you can get rid of the scars you have, but try talking to a dermatologist. They are the best resource for your skin. But to prevent any further scarring, try using a good cleanser, I recommend Phisoderm and Spectroderm. You can also use goat's milk soap, it helps clean your skin without drying it out.
Go see a dermatologist. You can get micordermabraison, which will gently sand away the scars. You might even be able to get a cream to use.
Also, your derm will put you on an antibiotic to stop the acne and tell what products to start using to make this go away forever.
trust me I know, I had the same problem. If you have insurance, most of your treatment will be covered.
In closing.... go to the dermatologists.
You need to visit a dermatologist and get a prescription and scar treatment. The prescription will prevent you from getting acne and that will save you lots of money in the long run.
There are loads of Internet sites the rate acne treatments. Once you know the name of the medication, you can look up the price online. Then call a dermatologist and ask how much money it would cost to get the doctor to write this prescription. You can get estimates for other treatments when you visit. Then you will need to get a job that will cover the cost of the doctor visit and the prescription. I used to starve myself at lunchtime so I could save my school lunch money.
Im not sure if u hav heard of bio oil...its this really good oil that gets rid of scars...and i kno cos i hav used it myself for acne and other scars...but its quite expensive....so depends on how much money u are willing to spend on it...if not...go into boots or superdrug...look for bio oil and get a similar product as i am sure they work just as well...
If not...juts make sure u cream ur face every day...with creams and oils...and yeah try not to scratch or pick spots...
i hope this helps
=D
I agree with the above! Bio oil has done wonders for me!! Rub it on maybe twice a day! It evens out skin tone and tightens your skin. You can get it in Boots for aound €13. I think you can get it in dunnes and tesco too. Hope it works out for u... x
don't scratch ur scars or acne u should but coco butter on the
ones u already hav
I hope that you're not picking and squeezing them, cause that totally leaves a mark.
Oh and by the way theyre not scars I dont know why everyone keeps calling them acne scars but youre in luck, THEYRE NOT SCARS :)
Its called post-hyper inflammatory pigmentation I dont know how exactly it works but Im guessing it has to do with the melanin which is also responsible for blackheads appearing
Anyways what you want to do is exfoliate. If you dont know what that is let me put it simply...........
Exfoliating is when you scrub your skin with an abrasive, you've seen those cleansers with the grainy, beady, gritty round things facial scrubs. Exfoliating sheds the top layer of the skin revealing newer softer radiant skin. This will help a lot with the marks. Exfoliating also helps speed cell renewal.
Buy Aveeno facial and body moisturizer with Soy extract. Soy is scientifically proven to diminish discoloration like sun spots, age spots, and best of all brown spots! (from acne)
Do your homework.... go to google or something the more you educate yourself about skincare the better youll be at solving skin problems.
Oh yeah i forgot to mention that exfoliating is great for unclogging pores and preventing breakouts from shedding those dead skin cells
Acne is a mixture of excess sebum (oil)
dead skin cells
bacteria
For someone who has a lot of skin problems like me, acne, hyper pigmentation marks, razor bumps, I'll do anything to get rid of them!
Remember skin care is important because your skin is the largest organ and protects your internal organs. So you should really take good care
When you think of
soy, you probably think health
food. From tofu to soymilk, the
nutritional benefits of this mighty
little bean have been well documented.
Now, there is promising
research into the new benefits of
soy...for the skin, according to new
findings released at the American
Academy of Dermatology Meeting
in Washington, D.C.
“This new research shows that
soy has even greater benefits for
the skin than researchers and
physicians previously understood,”
says Jeannette Graf, M.D.,
a clinical researcher on soy and a
dermatologist in private practice.
According to recent research by
the Skin Research Center at Johnson
%26amp; Johnson Consumer Companies,
Inc., soy proteins can even
out skin tone and texture and
reduce the appearance of a wide
variety of skin discolorations, such
as age or sun spots.
“This is exciting news in dermatology.
Skin discoloration is one
of the most difficult problems that
dermatologists treat. Current
therapies are often irritating, ineffective
and expensive. This new
discovery opens many new options,”
according to Dr. Graf.
Additionally, these new findings
demonstrate that soy reduces
the appearance of redness
caused by acne and sun exposure.
It also seems gentle enough for
every-day use.
These benefits of soy are captured
in a line of facial care products
just introduced by AVEENO®,
a pioneer in the study of natural
ingredients for efficacious skin
care. The moisturizers in this
line contain naturally-active soy
extracts with Vitamins A and C
and are clinically proven to even
skin tone and texture, resulting
in brighter, more radiant skin.
These are the first soy-based
products available in mass market
outlets.
“Patients now have easy-touse
and affordable options to
treat bothersome skin discolorations.
Even more exciting,
research has only begun to
understand the benefits of soy for
skin care, and the future holds
the promise for more exciting discoveries,”
says Dr. Graf.
