Does Vitamin E oil help acne scars? Would it be all right if I used tea tree oil for acne and vitamin e oil for acne scars?Acne scars?

You would be absolutely correct in both cases...might I suggest mixing the tea tree oit with a bit of geranium, oil-equal parts? It has a drying agent, as well as anti-fungal properties.
It won't get rid of them. The only things that help are chemical peels, micrdermabrasion and things like that. With time they might fade but never disappear completely.

Instructions.Step

1Get Dermabrasion. This is not to be confused with micro-dermabrasion which removes the very top layer of dead surface skin cells from the face. Dermabrasion is a coarser method, which removes further layers. Almost as if you were to rub sandpaper on your face (which you shouldn't!) But the sandpaper imagery is the general idea of what this process entails. The dermatologist will numb your face first and then begin removing layers through the ';sanding'; process. Recovery time is usually a couple weeks. Your skin will eventually scab. Once the scabs fall of, new skin will emerge with a fresh youthful glow. This works best on patients with very light or very dark skin. Patients in between might want to look for another procedure.

2Try Laser Resurfacing. This is another way to clear away pimples and finally get rid of acne scars. This is a fairly new procedure and it should be noted that not a lot of trials have been done on its long term effects. The process entails a laser being used to eradicate acne scarring. As of now the two lasers in use are the CO2 laser and the YAG laser. Both accomplish similar things and your doctor may have a preference over which they like to use. But remember to learn about each and ultimately the choice is up to you. The laser works in a similar fashion as dermabrasion. It removes the top layers of the skin which has been damaged so that new healthy skin can grow. Recovery time is a couple of weeks. Your doctor may have you apply a topical ointment as well to help with the recovery process. Depending on the depth of acne scarring, sometimes bandages are necessary as well.

3Have a chemical peel performed. This is a good treatment for very light acne scarring. Different types of acid are applied to the top layer of the skin. The acid is then removed about 15 minutes later. Again this will remove the top damaged layers of the epidermis. Redness and swelling is common after the procedure. Depending on the amount of acid applied, recovery time can take from a day to a couple of weeks.

4Receive the Punch Technique. This is meant for people with deep pitted acne scars. Much like a hair transplant, a piece of scarred skin is

';punched'; then removed. Then skin graft is taken, usually from behind the ear, and placed where the scarred skin was removed. After this treatment is complete it can also be combined with Laser Resurfacing or Dermabrasion. If the area on the skin is small enough, a graft may not be needed to replace it. Also, if the scarring is not deep into the skin, your dermatologist may be able to simply punch away the top layers of the skin and let the underlying layers heal and emerge. Recovery time can take several weeks or longer.

5Consider Augmentation. This is a process by which your dermatologist injects fillers, usually collagen, under the skin to help smooth the acne scarred area. Also the doctor may take fat from other places in your body and inject that instead of collagen. Recovery time is short, a day at most, as it's just like receiving any other shot. People often return to work right away. It should be noted that this is a temporary fix at the moment, lasting about six months. However, in the future as different ';fillers'; are discovered, it may last longer.

About 4 months ago I stopped using the solution ACNE Free. Which by the way i do not recommend to anybody because of what it has done to my face. I never had bad acne in fact i only had a pimple here and there. I destroyed my face had acne all over my face and even where i had never had a single pimple my entire life.

So i went to my dermatologist who had me taking antibiotics and 2 topicals for my face. I got cystic acne on my face and actually made it get even worse before it got better. Now 4 months later for the most part the acne is gone although i would never go a single minute without having the topicals on. I have acne scars all over my face. On my chin, above my mouth, on my cheeks, on my nose, on my temples and on my forehead. Tea Tree Oil works well on acne scarring. Also, it shouldn't cause further breakouts if used in moderation.

Well the only thing I could advise you at this point would be Neutrogena, trust me it works. Use the night cream it really helps clearing the skin.

Also use Olay Night Cream, it helps too and smooths your skin at the same time. Don't worry too much about it. It will heal by some point. All you need is patience.

Have you tried ScarZone, or Mederma? They are scar treatments, can be used even while the wound is healing - such as continuous acne.

I had surgery on my neck about 2 years ago, had 3 stitches, with a nice raised line - the stitches were too tight and it bulged out. I got some and put on my neck, the scar went away fast! I've had tons of scars, from anything you can think of, even on my face, and this stuff didn't aggrivate my pores.

Even if it doesn't aggrivate your pores, there's different types of cleansers and lotions you should use, you have to find the one for you. Should have at least a daily facial cleanser (I like Neutrogena, they have some in a pump, looks like a hand soap pump, about $3 in Walmart) and a facial lotion... I haven't shopped for a lotion lately, so I couldn't suggest one. Of course, the facial cleanser is to clean your skin, but the lotion is a MUST if you have oily skin whatsoever - if you clean all the oil off your face and don't replace it quickly - like with a lotion - then your pores will automatically revv up the production of oil, and then your oily face will get even more oily! Think of it as chapstick for your face, keep it protected! And whatever you do, don't mindlessly pick at your face - it'll only make it worse. The oils on your hands (even if you wash them all the time) will cause breakouts.Acne Scars???

Here are a few tips that will help you know how to treat acne at home.

1. If you have red angry looking acne, don't touch it. If you squeeze now, all you'll do is force the contents deeper into the skin that will make matters worst. And all you'll end up with is redder, angrier acne than you had before. Don't do it.

2. If you have a yellow custard top? Go for it. These beauties CAN be squeezed but there's an art to it. Here's how. Wash your hands thoroughly to avoid trouble and infection. Put a tissue over your finger. Why? Because you want the contents of the spot on the tissue, not splattered all over the mirror. Using the side of your thumb and the end of your finger, very gently start to squeeze. Don't whatever you do, use your nails as this will damage your skin. Stop when you're applying a lot of pressure and nothing is happening and you see clear fluid, rather than yellow grotty stuff and the spot begins to bleed. When you've finished dab it with antiseptic. Once the custard bit is out, the spot will heal more quickly than an unsqueezed yellow top would, providing that you now leave it well alone. Now wash your hands again.

3. Whiteheads and blackheads. If acne is left untreated they may cause this problem. Here the rule is if they're black, squeeze but if they're small, white raised lumps leave them alone. All that stuff about clean hands, tissues and stopping if nothing is happening or you see blood, apply here too.

Tips for acne treatment

1. DON'T TRY TO WASH IT AWAY

Acne isn't caused by dirt. In fact people with oily skin have cleaner skin than average because they wash it more often. But it's a fact that washing too much can make acne worse because it makes the skin dry and sore. So, wash no more than twice a day, using mild soap and water. If you have patches of dry skin, don't worry about putting moisturizer on. It won't make your acne worse. If you're still concerned, use an oil free moisturizer.

2. DON'T NUKE 'EM

There are lots of over the counter creams, gels, lotions and potions. Most contain a powerful bleaching agent called benzoyl peroxide. You'll find the strength written on the label. I've found that making sure you don't get any new ones is really the best way to go about it since your old ones will usually fade with time.

However, there are some lotions that help even out skin tone...And they're typically oil-free so that will help with acne.

There's also a product by Neutrogena called 'Rapid Clear.' It's about ten bucks at Target but trust me, it's really worth the price. It's helped clear not only my acne, but it's helped fade some of the scars too.

COCO BUTTER! This stuff works amazing. They also have things like scar-off etc. Anything that would work for a normal scar will work for acne scars! Go to Wal-Mart or your local pharmacy and look for head-on. Head-on makes a scar off remover though I am not exactly sure what it is called. But again Coco butter will do the trick as will any normal scar remover!

There's not too much you can apply to them in the way of creams, etc, apart from whitening/brightening creams. What you need to do is get laser, IPL or a peel which will remove the upper layers of skin. Also, if you use face washes/scrubs/lotions with glycolic acid in them, it will help shed the top layer.

Oh, just don't worry about it for now, there's actually no better solution then not trying to touch your face and just living with it, I actually have a twin that has that problem and she tried everything and nothin seems to work! She just leaves her face alone and stops pinching it, it looks much better now! I could give you a homemade remedy which is to put some charmomile tea and leave in a jar, put some on your face every morning and every night. Well, that's my advice.

Hyperpigmented scars are 98% temporary. They can take weeks, months, or even a year to fade away. If it's not gone by a year, then it's probably permenant.

Pitted scars are...pretty much like holes in your skin.

TIME makes scars a lot less noticeable. But for now, you can use bio oil......... that worked for me a bit.

I wouldn't do laser surgery. I think when you're older, (at least 16), you should go and get a chemical peel. All it does is get rid of the top layer of skin, so you have fresh, new, not touched skin. no. you can have laser resurfacing and chemical peels to reduce the scarring with pretty good results though. I think it depends on how bad of scarring you have.
a scar is a scar so I'd say no unless you treat them.

my forehead was a mess of scars and after only one month of using it, i'm almost completely scar-free.

oh, and if i have a pimple now, i put neosporin on it, they heal faster and don't leave scars as frequently.

well they say scares never go away but what i do is once i get out og the shower i kinda peel them off or i but lotion or baby oil if it hurts your not doing it right .dont make yourself bleed!i don tknow if this works for other pple bu tit works for me !

try using mederma.
When you notice a pimple, try to put ice on it until your face is numb. You want to reduce the redness and swelling. Then you want to apply clean and clear max. strength persa gel. It contains 10% Benzoyl peroxide. It dries it up. If you can not get to this product you can always use regular peroxide. Even if you do not have a pimple, you can still use the gel or peroxide on your scars because it eventually fades. Think about it ,they use peroxide in whitening tooth paste. That is what works for me. Good luck !
They'll heal a little faster with a frequent application of petroleum jelly. A topical application of Vitamin E helps too.

For now, don't pick them, keep yourself hydrated, and eat lots of citrus.
