I have really bad acne scars all over my face....I have dar skin so they are black not red? Laser is not an option for me? Any other suggestions?Acne Scars?
Laser facial resurfacing can cause changes in the pigmentation of your face, which means that doctors do not normally use laser techniques on dark skin.Hyperpigmentation, or darkening of the skin may develop following laser resurfacing, and last for several months or longer. Generally, this hyperpigmentation can be successfully treated with the use of bleaching agents, but this may take considerable time to resolve.
I suggest you Fraxel Laser, the latest technology which helps erase acne scars and holes. The fraxel laser devices induces tiny beams of laser in the acne scarred skin's and the patient is healed within a few days.
The FDA has approved fraxel laser for acne scarring.
A special advantage of Fraxel is its safety in people with dark skin who are not candidates for other procedures such as laser resurfacing or dermabrasion. Acne scars on dark skin can now be treated by Fraxel with ease and efficacy.

In the past I had used a topical cream called scarzone on my eyebrow when I decided to remove my piercing. I took about 3 months of use, but I think that it made the piercing site less visible. If it worked for that, it would probably work on acne scars depending on how long you have had them.
try Proactiv Solution! Best solution there ever is! Just make sure u use Benzoyl Peroxide (as long as). Benzoyl Peroxide is the chemical tht gets rid of acne! I'm not usin Proactiv Solution, but I'm usin Panoxyl 10% Bar which is a bar of soap and u apply it to ur acne ONLY and the Panoxyl 10% Bar has Benzoyl Peroxide. U can use these 2 products, or any product that supports benzoyl peroxide!
You could get some dark blush and use it to cover it.I use blush to cover my blemishes, scars,or anything that shows up thats not supposed to be there.
Vitamin E prevents acne scarring and can also be used to fade old scars. Check out http://totalskincare-s.blogspot.com/ for more useful info.
