it depends on how deep are the scars. shallow scars can be reduced by alpha-hydroxy acids and copper peptides. you can also use topical ascorbic-acid ( not lemon juice -- it is citric acid) check out http://www.acnetreatmentlab.com for more information
Hi there!
One of the most common acne scar treatment is laser resurfacing, or the application of soft and highly focused light on the surface of the skin to ';burn'; acne. However, this approach is only advisable for minor acne types like blackheads, whiteheads, and pimples. Laser resurfacing is actually the closest literal equivalent of actual ';acne removal'; technique that is currently available. This is because laser resurfacing will actually remove acne. Since burning would naturally produce scars, people are quite hesitant to avail of this acne removal method. But such worries are unfounded. Laser resurfacing also includes a post-burning treatment that would stimulate the instant growth of collagen.

hey.... I had acne scars too (i'm 15), and.....honestly, it depends on what type of scars they are. Are they hyperpigmened scars? (discoloration), or are they pitted scars?
Hyperpigmented scars are 98% temporary. They can take weeks, months, or even a year to fade away. If it's not gone by a year, then it's probably permenant.
Pitted scars are...pretty much like holes in your skin.
TIME makes scars a lot less noticeable. But for now, you can use bio oil......... that worked for me a bit.
I wouldn't do laser surgery. I think when you're older, (at least 16), you should go and get a chemical peel. All it does is get rid of the top layer of skin, so you have fresh, new, not touched skin. If you want something like this, you can buy an AHA product, and it just gets rid of the top layer of skin where your acne scars are.
=)
